Alexandra Feigin will compete in figure skating at the Winter Olympic Games in Italy next year. The NSA student finished 21st at the World Championships in Boston and secured a quota spot for the Winter Games. With this result, Feigin became the 15th Bulgarian athlete to qualify for the Milano-Cortina Olympics. The Sofia native also competed at the Olympics in Beijing in 2022.

“I honestly can't believe that my biggest dream is coming true once again – to represent Bulgaria at the Winter Olympic Games in Italy. Right now, I'm trying to take it all in because the past four years have been incredibly difficult for me. I had to overcome myself, went through a lot, and to be honest, until the very last moment, I thought I wouldn’t manage to earn the quota. But hard work pays off,” Feigin told the Bulgarian Skating Federation.

Meanwhile, NSA students Gabriela Georgieva and Petar Mitsin met the qualifying standards for the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore this summer. At the national team championship held at the new “Mladost” pool in Plovdiv, Gabriela clocked 2:12.93 minutes in the 200m backstroke (B standard) and Mitsin swam 1:56.29 in the 200m butterfly (A standard).
