Published on 15 November 2024 In connection with the scientific cooperation between the National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski" and the National Center for Polar Research, for the second consecutive year, medical and functional tests were conducted on the participants of the 33rd Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition at the Center for Scientific and Applied Activities in Sports (CSAAS). These tests are aimed at studying human health and adaptation in the conditions of Bulgarian Antarctic expeditions. Some of the tests include specific analyses of indicators for cellular oxidative stress levels, electrolytes, and hormones of the expedition participants. NSA "Vasil Levski" has had a long-standing successful partnership with the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute, whose scientific projects and expeditions involved faculty members from the Academy, including Assoc. Prof. Aleksandar Shopov, Assist. Prof. Doichin Boyanov, and others. |
