The Rector’s Board of the Bulgaria’s National Sports Academy greeted the alpinists who explored and climbed new routes in the Khane Valley, Pakistan.
In August Doychin Boyanov and Mihail Mihaylov, lecturers in NSA, and one of the most experienced Bulgarian alpinists Nikolay Petkov, realized the unclimbed Vassil Levski peak (5733 m). The ascent was carried out in alpine style.
The alpinists named the peak after Vassil Levski, Bulgarian national hero and the patron of the Academy.
The first part of the expedition was accomplished a year ago when the alpinists underwent exploration of the area with several virgin peaks.
