The Gymnastics Star Yordan Yovchev Graduated at NSA

Yordan Yovchev, the gymnast who set a record by competing in six Olympic Games in a row, received his diploma at a graduation ceremony in the National Sports Academy on 25 September.

Yovchev who is also the president of the Bulgarian Gymnastics Federation said that studying in the Academy was a great pleasure for him. He shared with the audience in the crowded hall his plans about continuing his studies in the Masters programmes of the NSA.

The Olympic champion in triple jump from Sydney 2000 Tereza Marinova was the other celebrity attending the ceremony. Tereza, who recently became an assistant at the Track-and-Field Athletics Department of the NSA, greeted the graduates and advised them to keep up on the latest sports technologies and methodologies.

The graduates with highest overall grades received their diplomas by the Deputy Minister of Physical Education and Sport Assoc. Prof. Lazar Kamenov and the Rector of NSA Assoc. Prof. Pencho Geshev.
