27 October 2011  Workshop on European Coaching Framework was held in NSA The event was held on 27 October, Thursday in the National Sports Academy. The Minister of Physical Educatoin and Sport Svilen Neykov and the Rector of NSA Prof. Lachezar Dimitrov greeted the participants and expressed very positive reactions over the usefulness of such forums. The topic provoked significant interest and gathered a lot of professionals: coaches, educators, representatives from federations, sports schools and associations, researchers etc. Prof. Patrick Duffy (UK), Vice President for Europe in the International Council for Coach Education (ICCE) and Jose Curado (Portugal), member of ICCE and President of Portuguese Confederation of the Coaches Associations delivered lectures on European Coaching Framework. The Vice Rectors of NSA Prof. Daniela Dasheva and Assoc. Prof. Pencho Geshev presented the topic in its Bulgarian aspects. The workshop was organized by the NSA in cooperation with the Bulgarian Ministry of Physical Education and Sport, which Deputy Minister Assoc. Prof. Lazar Kamenov presented an overview on Development of Coaching Profession in Bulgaria. Members of Bulgarian federations, active coaches, experts and researchers of coaching are invited to take part in the follow-up discussion. Albena Micheva
