Dr. Raphael Santoja received the symbols of Doctor Honoris Causa Degree

14 June 2011 ![]() NSA conferred a Doctor Honoris Causa Degree to IFBB President Dr. Raphael Santoja, the President of the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness received the symbols of Doctor Honoris Causa Degree on June 14, 2011 in the Conference Hall of the National Sports Academy. The NSA Rector Prof. Lachezar Dimitrov emphasized Dr. Santonja’s scientific contribution to the development of weight training, nutrition and healthy life style. The ceremony took place in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Physical Education and Sport Mr.Lazar Kamenov, the Mayor of Studentski District Mr. Dimitar Dilchev, many Bodybuilding champions and enthusiasts. Dr. Santoja’s lecture on Nutrition and Weight Training – an Essential Anti-Ageing Therapy provoked a great deal of interest and applause. In his thank-you speech Dr. Santoja underlined his excellent impressions with the Bulgarian coaches he had met during his business trips worldwide. He said they were outstanding professionals capable of playing an important part in the healthy life style of our society. Other distinguished sport personalities awarded Doctor Honoris Causa Degree by NSA are: International Olympic Committee Presidents: Juan Antonio Samaranch and Jacques Rogge, European Olympic Committee President Patrick Hickey, International Sport Federations Presidents: Primo Nebiolo (Athletics), Joseph Blatter (Football), Ruben Acosta (Volleyball), Raphael Martinetti (Wrestling), Francesco Ricci Bitti (Tennis).
