08 April 2011 33 International Athletics Championship “NEW STARS” The Athletics Department of NSA is inviting you to the 33rd International Athletics Championship “New Stars“ and the International Conference “Athletics and Science”- events that have become traditional in the NSA calendar. The Championship will be held on 26 May 2011, from 3 p.m. at the stadiums of NSA. The organizers believe that these sports could be made even more popular and the traditions for fair and challenging competitions should be kept. They hope for finding new promising athletes during the event, which will provide the best conditions for high performance in every discipline. As a result sportsmen for the national teams could be selected. The best athletes will receive prizes on behalf of Prof. Lachezar Dimitrov, Rector of NSA and patron of the event. Memorial prizes will also be handed out. The International Conference “Athletics and Science” will take place on 27 May 2011, at 10 a.m., in A-3 Hall of the NSA. The main issues that will be discussed concern high performance, techniques and methodology in athletics training, specific problems of athletics training in secondary and higher schools, recovery in athletics etc. The conference languages will be Bulgarian, English and Russian.
