A project for volunteer training started with the NSA participation

The kick-off meeting of the project Training for Volunteers took place on 23-24 February 2011 in Cologne. Coordinator of the project is the German Olympic Sports Confederation and the National Sports Academy is a partner along with 10 organizations from 9 EU countries. The project is funded by the 2010 Preparatory Action on Sport of the European Commission.

At the meeting the NSA was represented by Prof. Daniela Dasheva, Vice Rector of International Relations and Stefka Jobova, scientific associate. The project will be conducted from the 1st of January 2011 till the 30th of June 2012. The experts will research volunteering in sport and try to broaden existing perspectives on education and training of human resources in this sector.

The next meeting will be held in the National Sports Academy on 9th and 10th of June 2011.
