The BFS and the NSA signed a cooperation agreement

The rector of the National Sports Academy, Prof. Krasimir Petkov, and the president of the Bulgarian Football Union, Georgi Ivanov, signed a cooperation agreement.

The two signed the document in the presence of the vice president of the BFS and assistant rector of the NSA, Prof. Nikolai Izov, the academic leadership, Assoc. Prof. Emil Atanasov - director of the Coaching School and dean of the Faculty of Sports, Valentin Dobrev - director of administrative and economic activities at the NSA, and representatives of the BFS management team: Dobrin Gyonov - deputy executive director, Kiril Kotev - technical director, Lachezar Dimov - director of youth football development.

The contract regulates the relationships and activities in educational-methodological, research, and sports activities in which the two institutions plan to implement their partnership.

An important part of the cooperation will be the development of programs and methodologies for joint participation in scientific and applied research projects within national and international programs.

Joint educational, scientific, and sports events and activities will also be organized, as well as educational-methodological seminars, scientific conferences, and congresses.

Additionally, an internship program will be established at the BFS for training and developing staff, with the foundation of work being the exchange of information and joint research activities.

The leaders of the two institutions demonstrated mutual respect, recognition for the fruitful work done so far, and confidence in the success of the agreed cooperation.

The rector of the National Sports Academy, Prof. Krasimir Petkov, expressed the NSA management's commitment to support and promote the development of football, continuing the established traditions.

“I would like to give a very good recipe for success - continuity and appreciation of good staff. When a good team is created within an organization and there is continuity for development, things happen,” shared Prof. Petkov, wishing success to the BFS management team.

For his part, the president of the BFS, Georgi Ivanov, stated that it is a privilege for the Bulgarian Football Union to cooperate with an institution like the National Sports Academy.

“We are placing many hopes on the development of this partnership in the future. I believe that in our joint work going forward, we will help develop the professional staff prepared by the only specialized higher education institution in the field of physical education and sports in Bulgaria,” expressed the BFS president's confidence.
