An exhibition titled "100 Years of Athletics" was opened at the NSA

02 October 2024 The Rector of the National Sports Academy, Prof. Krasimir Petkov, and the President of the Bulgarian Athletics Federation, Ivan Kolev, opened the exhibition "100 Years of Bulgarian Athletics." The exhibition, dedicated to the centenary anniversary of the federation, is located by the wall of Bulgarian Olympic glory and the space in front of the largest lecture halls in the Rectorate of the NSA. The photos showcase the greatest names in Bulgarian athletics—all Olympic, world, and European champions and medalists, as well as world record holders among men and women. Some of the images feature the training stadiums of the Academy, where many legendary athletes prepared for their successes. Rector Prof. Petkov welcomed the initiative and expressed confidence that it would enrich the sports culture of the students and remind them of the glorious achievements of the most famous Bulgarian athletes. The exhibition, which has visited numerous cities across the country, is being displayed for the first time in the capital city, specifically at the National Sports Academy—the temple of sports methodology and science, emphasized the President of the federation, Ivan Kolev. The official opening was attended by prominent professors and figures in athletics: Prof. Apostol Slavchev - Chairman of the NSA Sports Club, Assoc. Prof. Grigor Gutev - Head of the Department of Athletics, Prof. Marin Gadev, Chief Assistant Kostadin Kisiov, the coordinator for the Bulgarian Athletics Federation Anton Bonov, and numerous students. |
