Teaches students in the bachelor's degree program in “Nursing”.
Scientific Interests
Scientific interests focus on regulatory guidelines in health care management; prevention and control of nosocomial infections in the organization and management of health care; training of health care professionals for prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections; organizational culture as a change based on values, perceptions, thinking, awareness, ideas; improving the health literacy of hospitalized patients and their families – promotional health care.
Publications, Textbooks, Manuals
Author of 33 scientific works outside the list of publications related to the dissertation for the PhD degree. Author of a dissertation for the PhD degree titled: “Prevention and Control of Nosocomial Infections in the Organization and Management of Health Care” and a habilitation thesis – monograph titled: “Conceptual Models for Prevention and Control of Healthcare-Associated Infections”.
The scientific works have been cited in 34 Bulgarian and 30 foreign sources, including 13 in refereed and indexed internationally recognized scientific databases and 44 in non-refereed peer-reviewed journals.
Member of the Bulgarian Scientific Society of Public Health, Bulgarian Scientific Society of Epidemiology of Infectious and Non-Infectious Diseases. Participates in national and international scientific forums with over 120 reports, lecturer in postgraduate training at MU-Sofia, lecturer at the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at MU-Sofia, trainer in Practical training programs for continuing education at MU-Sofia, participant in working groups at the Ministry of Health. Awarded in scientific forums for best presentation, best report, innovation, and good practices in health care. Recipient of a Certificate of First Place in the category “Head Nurse”; Honorary Certificate for high achievements and professionalism in health care; Certificate for outstanding contribution to the establishment, development, and promotion of the “Alexandrovska” Society; Certificate for demonstrated high professionalism in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic – 2020.
