Education and Training

• Graduated in Medicine in 2002 from Medical University - Pleven.
• Specialized in Surgery in 2008. In the same year, defended a dissertation on the surgical treatment of rectal cancer and was awarded the educational and scientific degree "Doctor".
• In 2015, specialized in Anatomy, Histology, and Cytology. Since 2012, after an exam before an international committee, received a European Diploma in Surgical Oncology from the European Board of Surgery (EBSQ Surgical Oncology, FEBS), and in 2015, also after an exam, a European Diploma in Coloproctology (EBSQ Coloproctology, FEBS).
• Holds a certificate in abdominal ultrasound from 2013.
• Since 2021 - Member of the American College of Surgeons (Fellow of the American College of Surgeons).
