Our Stanilia Stamenova wоn Women's Singles Canoe 200m World Title

Staniliya Stamenova won gold in C1 (singles canoe) 200m women's finals at the 2015 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Milan, Italy on Sunday.

Former athlete led her opponent from the start and despite her slight hesitation in the middle distance, she managed to preserve her strength and powerful rowing in the last meters and stopped the chronometer at 48.61 seconds, winning the competition.

Stamenova entered a third time in the finals but beat last year's champion Laurence Vincent-Lapoant (Canada).

27-year-old Stamenova wins her first world title. She won a silver medal last year in Moscow, and before that she has two gold medals in European Championships. In 2014, she was among the winners of "Athlete of the Year of the NSA" Vassil Levski ".

The world vice-champion from Moscow 2014 Miroslav Kirchev achieved satisfactory rankings in 1000 and 500 meters (seater kayak) and the first discipline brought him quota for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, 2016.
